A New Smokers’ Credit Go Up in Smoking

Smoking cigarette is pleasant because it can relax you after a hard working day. However, a lot of researchers discovered that quitting smoking can have positive effects as: lengthen the smokers’ life and even shorten the term of their debts or credits.

Recently scientists discovered that a pack-a-day smoker spends approximately $4,000 a year, or even $300 a month, on his/her cigarettes.

Reducing that money onto the monthly remunerations of a 25-year, $300,000 mortgage, could diminish the term of the debt to 19 years and knock $100,000 off advantage rewards.

But recently the federal government raised the excise tax on tobacco by 25 percent, adding $2.16 to a pack of 30 cigarettes.

“So, many families will be experience the pressure of rising concern rates as we’ve seen mortgage repayments hike by almost $340 per month for the normal $300,000 loan since September 2009,” Rate City CEO Damian Smith declared. Even creditors who have also been attacked by the new cigarette tax will be experiencing even big pressure on their fiscal situation.

The only escape of smokers who have a lot of debts and credits is to quit their smoking habit and to pay money for their mortgage.

“For most of smokers with mortgages, kicking the smoking habit and directing their attention into their mortgage will probable have health and wealth benefits,” added Mr. Smith.

He also explained that even those smokers who don’t have a credit should take advantage of high concern of savings their profits on the market.

So, putting apart $308 per month into a savings account with 6.25 percent, their benefits could raise approximately $108 after one year or almost $3,148 in five years time.

But the main reason for quitting smoking evidently should be the health, added Mr. Smith.

But the financial benefits of directing savings from an increasingly overpriced habit can’t be disregard and smokers need to suppose that cigarette costs are only going one way up.
